Christmas Party 2016

Our last meeting of 2016 on 13th December was our in-house workshop and Christmas Party with members sporting a variety of festive jumpers and headgear! After an introduction from Carolyn, members got immersed in a variety of mini-workshops covering quilted bags, candle wreaths and hanging sleeves. On display were completed items started by members at one of our workshops during the year. Members also displayed items made at workshops attended elsewhere.

Members voted on the items completed at our workshops during the year and Tilley’s Shield was awarded to Liz Brayshaw who won with her Scrappy Zappy Do quilt from the November workshop with Jennie Rayment.

There was an amazing and diverse display of entries for the Chairman’s Challenge (Me, Myself, I) and Carolyn decided that it would be unfair to choose from such personal and unique entries. Carolyn also showed us her own Me, Myself, I (pink of course!).

We all enjoyed a great range of tempting sweet and savoury nibbles. The whole morning was just right for getting in the mood for the festive season!
